Doug Gratias

Doug provides estimating and purchasing services for Vertical | Design+Build with more than 50 years of experience in both residential and commercial construction.

After starting his career as a teacher, Doug later became involved in his family’s homebuilding business and eventually took over the reins of ownership. He is also the former state president of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Iowa. Prior to his employment with Grant and the Vertical team, Doug spent 15+ years in purchasing and estimating for another local builder. He brings a wealth of expertise in estimating and negotiating value for our clients with our trades’ partners.
